São Paulo

The largest city in the Southern Hemisphere, with 10 million inhabitants, is also the dynamic economic center of all Latin America.

São Paulo is a cosmopolitan gem comprising rich ethnic diversity, fantastic infrastructure, and bustling activity.

Liberdade (considered the Japanese district, with the largest Japanese population outside Japan), and the streets 25 de Março and José Paulino with their Arabic and Israeli flavors and low-price shopping options, give a sense of this metropolis’s multinational character. Its refined culinary scene boasts some 1,000 restaurant options as varied as the inhabitants who have made São Paulo their home.

São Paulo’s Streets

An intense center for art and culture, you will find hundreds of museums, movie theaters, theaters featuring productions from Broadway to vanguard theatre, and dozens of libraries and cultural centers, in addition to the many popular feasts and fairs that fill São Paulo’s streets.

Downtown, learn of the city’s history by visiting its numerous historic sites including replicas of São Paulo’s first buildings from 1554, which are linked to Portuguese Jesuit priests and the coffee expansion.

While the city might prove too urbanized for some, those who prefer the city scene and a varied nightlife to soaking up the sun will feel right at home. São Paulo is not only concrete but also has many nice parks and neighborhoods.
