explora Atacama was built in a 17-hectare plot as a base to enjoy the surrounding desert and Andes highlands. It is located near San Pedro de Atacama in the Ayllu de Larache, once known as a community for the Aymara people. The rooms at explora Atacama are bright, airy, and eclectic with desert or mountain views, making it perfect for relaxing after a long day of exploring. To truly experience explora and disconnect from your daily routine, rooms do not have Wi-Fi or television. These amenities are only available in the common areas of the hotel. San Pedro de Atacama prides itself on having the world’s clearest skies, therefore making it the perfect location for stargazing at its observatory. The observatory dome is recognized as one of the best in Chile as it houses an advanced optics telescope among other extraordinary features to provide the best views.
