Your family adventure begins with a transfer to San Ignacio.
Discover the jungle, learn the natural history, explore Mayan Ruins and more on an inclusive family program.
During your stay you will undertake a wide range of activities including a nature rules treasure hunt along jungle trails. Learn about tropical animals and plants and the importance of conserving and protecting fragile environments.
Travel back in time on horseback to on-site ancient Mayan temples and watch the kids become junior archeologists learning about the mystery of a lost civilization. You will also enjoy a tour of the Mayan temple of Xunantunich.
Experience the cultures and people of Belize after canoeing downstream on the Macal River to meet a family in Cristo Rey village. Share a meal and perhaps even help prepare corn tortillas for a traditional meal.
Travel to Hopkins, stopping for a refreshing swim at the inland Blue Hole along the way.
As you travel on the Hummingbird Highway, a stop and short walk through the jungle brings you to one of Belize’s prettiest swimming holes. The inland Blue Hole is a sapphire-colored sinkhole where you can enjoy a cool swim. After a picnic lunch, continue to your beach house in Hopkins.
Take a relaxing boat ride out to the world’s second largest barrier reef to fish in magnificent aqua blue waters. Your captain will take you to his favorite spot for your chance to catch snapper, grouper, mackerel, jacks, barracuda, and more. Whether you prefer trolling along the outer cayes or spin casting anywhere along the coast, you will get to experience it all. Stop at an island where your catch will be prepared for a delicious lunch.
Cockscomb Basin is renowned for being the world’s first and only jaguar preserve with over 128,000 acres of lush tropical rainforest. It’s home to all five of Belize’s large cats: jaguar, puma, margay, jaguarundi, and ocelot. Explore the jungle trails of this flora and fauna sanctuary with a naturalist tour guide. After your hike, tube or float down the river for a unique, close-up look at the jungle.
After lunch, head over to a nearby cacao farm. You will get a front row seat to the ancient practice of chocolate making. You’ll learn everything there is to know about chocolate, including its many healthy properties and how the ancient Mayan civilizations used cacao beans as currency.
Explore the waters with complimentary use of kayaks and paddle boards. Or, explore the village with complimentary use of bicycles. You may also enjoy beach games and an array of kid’s activities. Do not miss the cultural nights every Saturday and Sunday!
Fly from Dangriga to Belize City and depart Belize.
