Day 2: BUENOS AIRES

Experience a mesmerizing day in Buenos Aires, “The Paris of South America”

The city combines the atmosphere of an old European town with the features of a Latin American capitol. Acquire a deep understanding of its characteristics, its history, its architecture, its culture, and its best stories. See the Metropolitan Cathedral, Palace of Congress, Plaza de Mayo, and Casa Rosada (Pink House). It was from the balcony here that Eva Perón famously addressed the throngs of impassioned supporters packed into the plaza.

Enjoy the magical atmosphere of historic La Boca, the first Buenos Aires port and now a neighborhood with a unique beat, colorful, overlaid façades, and the artsy Caminito. This street is among the most famous in the country. Go off the beaten track to see the coolest street and graffiti art that provide a visually stunning introduction to the vibrant world of urban art in Buenos Aires and its compelling history. The route will introduce you to artworks of many different artists and will give insight on how the scene is evolving in different spaces and in local urban art galleries.

Day 3: BUENOS AIRES

Head out for an immersive foodie experience in one of Buenos Aire’s most traditional neighborhoods

Head out for an immersive foodie experience in one of Buenos Aire’s most traditional neighborhoods.

San Telmo is characterized by cafes and restaurants, tango parlors, art galleries and antique shops lining its old cobbled streets and is a must-visit for anybody coming to Argentina. San Telmo is a hive of activity and it is alive with musicians and street performers dancing tango at all hours of the day. Enjoy a culinary journey as you visit enchanting gems of small coffee houses and food parlors that serve some of the most delicious food. Learn about local cuisine and culture as you wander from one establishment to another sampling local favorites, including fabulous Malbec wine and delicious empanadas.

Enjoy a stylish tango experience! Rojo Tango is one of the city’s best tango escapes. For all its diversity, the elusive spirit of Argentina as a country is present everywhere in Buenos Aires. The national dance, the tango, is perhaps the best expression of that spirit — practiced in dance halls, parks, open plazas, and ballrooms. It is a dance of intimate separation and common rhythm, combining both an elegant reserve and an exuberant passion.
