Explore Recoleta on foot and go off the beaten path. You will be introduced to the history, architecture, traditions, and unique features of this historic Buenos Aires neighborhood. Visit Recoleta Cemetery and hear fascinating tales about Evita Perón, the misfortune of Rufina Cambaceres, Tiburcia Dominquez’s miserly husband, and Admiral Brown. Stop by Pilar Basilica to admire its stunning architecture, then learn about the history of Recoleta Cemetery itself at the Recoleta Cultural Center and Old Monastery. Visit El Ateneo which is as splendid as its name and exudes Buenos Aires’s nostalgic elegance. See Bourdelle’s Monument to Alvear, then continue to the Palais de Glace, where the Argentine tango came of age. Learn about the history of tango before visiting the BA Design Center and Terraces, the National Library, and the National Fine Arts Museum.
San Telmo has the most classic, old school vibe in Buenos Aires. Cobblestone streets, old lanterns, hundred-year-old buildings match what is generally offered and what many people expect to see in Buenos Aires. While in San Telmo, you will visit El Zanjon de Granados. All of Buenos Aires’ history is packed into this unusual house. The street it is on was once a small river—the zanjón, or gorge, of the property’s name—where the first, unsuccessful attempt to found Buenos Aires took place in 1536, and now is a private museum.
La Boca is famous for its picturesque colorful architecture. The tango was born in La Boca and the colored houses of Calle Caminito are a must see. Here you will enjoy a unique and special way to experience La Boca’s food & culture. Visit several small local cafés, and mom & pop restaurants to experience delicious food, including authentic Italian, an Argentine classic Parrilla, empanadas, superb wine, desserts, and more.
Puerto Madero, one of the newest and most exclusive places in the City of Buenos Aires, arose from the restoration of the old Commercial Port. Enjoy a stop for coffee at Café Tortoni, the quintessential Porteño café, located on Avenida de Mayo and founded in 1858. The cafe has remained the meeting place for famous artists and scholars throughout its 154 years, including Albert Einstein, the King of Spain, Juan Carlos de Borbón, and tango great Carlos Gardel.
Enjoy a unique experience as you drive through the city in an antique car. You will get a different view of Buenos Aires as you drive by some of the most iconic sites, including Casa Rosada, Teatro Colon, Obelisko, and see them fully illuminated. Your ride comes to and end as you arrive at a private venue, where you will enjoy a private tango performance and lesson.
Finish off the evening with a closed door gourmet dinner. This culinary delight offers a unique and liberating dining experience. Closed door restaurants are where chefs can truly experiment with ideas; thus, their meals are renowned for being bold and adventurous. Be wowed and surprised. It is an excellent divergence from the traditional grilled red meat and straightforward flavors of Argentine food. Spices, foreign influences, and creative approaches make all the closed-door meals special. The only thing that everyone has in common is their desire to have an unforgettable dining experience and eat some amazing food with delicious wine.
Iguazú Falls are often heralded as the most beautiful falls in the world. The unbelievable and spectacular falls are a UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site. Upon seeing Iguazu for the first time, First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt reportedly exclaimed “Poor Niagara!” Vastly larger than North America’s Niagara Falls, the Iguazu Falls are made up of 275 separate cataracts that stretch for 2.5 miles, plunging 269 feet into the Iguassu River.

Visit the Andeluna Winery where you will also indulge in a cooking experience. Andeluna is a newer, state-of-the-art winery sitting beneath the imposing Tupungato volcano. Gain insight into their special winemaking methods on a tour of the vineyards and cellars. Grape varieties such as Malbec, cabernet sauvignon and chardonnay thrive among these vineyards, and you will taste the fruit of Andeluna’s diligent labors in the tasting room. After your tour of the winery, join a local chef for an immersive private cooking experience, followed by lunch.
Continue to a second winery in the Uco Valley, the birthplace of much of the Argentine wine which gathers followers throughout the world. Sample a variety of Malbecs, Cabernet Sauvignons and Pinot Noirs and learn the secrets behind Argentina’s fine wines.
Trekking Uco Valley in the Cajon de Arenales will allow you to feel the heart of the Mendoza Andes Mountains, a place where enormous plunges of rock and mountains of up to 6,000 meters dominate the landscape. The zone of the Cajón de los Arenales, in Tunuyán, is widely known by rock climbers worldwide who appreciate the quality of the granite rock to practice their sport. This route focuses on the landscape and the absence of people, in the immense shadow of the mountain range, which will allow you to fully enjoy a day of hiking in intimate contact with the mountains. Stop to rest and enjoy a gourmet box lunch and time to relax to take in the wonderful landscape.
