Day 1: ARRIVE BUENOS AIRES

Welcome to Argentina!

Your Luxury Wildlife Journey begins in Buenos Aires.

Explore Recoleta on foot and go off the beaten path. You will be introduced to the history, architecture, traditions, and unique features of this historic Buenos Aires neighborhood. Visit Recoleta Cemetery and hear fascinating tales about Evita Perón, the misfortune of Rufina Cambaceres, Tiburcia Dominquez’s miserly husband, and Admiral Brown. Stop by Pilar Basilica to admire its stunning architecture, then learn about the history of Recoleta Cemetery itself at the Recoleta Cultural Center and Old Monastery. Visit El Ateneo which is as splendid as its name and exudes Buenos Aires’s nostalgic elegance. See Bourdelle’s Monument to Alvear, then continue to the Palais de Glace, where the Argentine tango came of age. Learn about the history of tango before visiting the BA Design Center and Terraces, the National Library, and the National Fine Arts Museum.

Day 2: BUENOS AIRES

Discover the art scene of San Telmo and La Boca on a morning biking tour

Head off the beaten track on a unique biking tour that takes you pedaling through the hidden southern neighborhoods of Buenos Aires to find the city’s most impressive street art. Far more than urban art, this tour also examines the cutting-edge design district, vibrant neighborhoods and contextualizing it all with historical and cultural background. Riding through La Boca will get you familiar with different graffiti styles, and witness examples of elaborate urban art along the way by artist collectives such as Red Sudakas and Triangulo Dorado. Back on our bikes, we venture towards Barracas, where we can marvel at the elaborate mosaic walls in Pasaje Lanin, and later let our eyes wander along the mural depicting the meeting of Styles Street Art Convention which represents several collaborations between artists. Admire works by other artists, including Pol Corona, Mart, Pum, Martin Ron, and many more.

Days 3-5: BUENOS AIRES / PENINSULA VALDES

Fly to Puerto Madryn, head to Peninsula Valdes to start your 3-night wildlife experience

Península Valdés is a Patagonian nature reserve on the coast of Argentina. The Estancia Rincón Chico is an exclusive property located in the southeast corner of the Península Valdés with 16 kilometers of coastline along the Patagonian Sea. This is one of the richest marine areas on Earth, harboring populations of right whales, elephant seals, sea lions, orcas, dolphins, penguins, and numerous species of birds and fish. For this reason, the site was declared “World Heritage Site” in 1999 and “Biosphere Reserve” in 2014 by UNESCO.

Enjoy wildlife watching explorations, guided by bilingual biologists and naturalists, located right on the various beaches on the property. Enjoy off-the-beaten-path hiking trails of varying length and difficulty that wind across the steppe and cliffs. These trails lead to superb wildlife viewing spots and opportunities to enjoy horseback riding, mountain biking, interpretation of native flora, bird watching, visits to the ex-livestock facilities of the property, and walks in the dunes fields.

Day 6: PENINSULA VALDES / PUERTO MADRYN

Head out into the bay for an exciting whale watching excursion

En route to Puerto Madryn make a stop in Puerto Piramides. Embark on a boat ride for a fascinating opportunity to get up close encounters with southern right whales. These majestic creatures can grow up to 20 meters in length and get up to 50 tons in weight! Enjoy the unique experience to sail alongside these beautiful mammals and watch as they show off for you.

Days 7-9: PUERTO MADRYN / PUERTO VALLE

The journey continues to the wetlands!

Fly to Posadas, head to the estancia in Puerto Valle to start your Argentina wetlands program.

Explore the wetlands with an expedition to Laguna Valle or photographic safari at Cambyreta Portal. Enjoy sailing and kayaking on the Parana River. Go horseback riding or visit the estancia’s tree nursery and organic garden. Puerto Valle offers its guests exclusive access to the wildlife of the Ibera National Park, the second largest wetland in the world in the largest conservation area in Argentina. Days 10-12: PUERTO VALLE / IGUAZU FALLS

Fly to Iguazu Falls, head into the rainforest and start your jungle & falls adventure program.

Iguazú Falls are often heralded as the most beautiful falls in the world. The unbelievable and spectacular falls are a UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site. Upon seeing Iguazú for the first time, first Lady Eleanor Roosevelt reportedly exclaimed “Poor Niagara!” Vastly larger than North America’s Niagara Falls, the Iguazú Falls are made up of 275 separate cataracts that stretch for 2.5 miles, plunging 269 feet into the Iguazú River.

Awasi brings you the Iguazú Falls as you have never experienced them. Located just 15 minutes from the world’s largest waterfalls, Situated on the banks of the River Iguazú, each villa will be assigned with a private guide and four wheel drive vehicles, allowing guests to explore at their own pace, visiting where they want, when they want, and for however long they want.

Choose between private full-day excursions or two half-day excursions that best suit your interests.
